Fishing
http://www.redlion-hotel.com/ - In all we have some 4 miles of the river known as The Moccas Fishery located at Bredwardine between Hay-on-Wye and Hereford.

Our season opens on the 16th June and runs until 14th March. We are open to anyone wishing to fish on a daily or weekly basis.

Over the last few years we have steadily built up a reputation as one of the premier Barbel Fisheries in the country. The usual weight range is between 4 to 9 lbs. with many double figure fish and the largest recorded so far weighing in at 14lbs. The river is quite strong flowing and as a result the fish are extremely healthy and strong fighting, so we recommend a minimum of 8lb.line.

Where the call of the Curlew and the Red Kite can be heard.  A golfing oasis surrounded by outstanding views of the Radnorshire Hills, overlooking Rhosgoch Bog, a sight of special Scientific Interest, one of the few 'quacking bogs' remaining in Europe, supporting rare and endangered wildlife and flora.
